The JCC is looking for an energetic, creative marketer to oversee all marketing of children + family programming areas. The Director of Marketing will have strong customer acquisition and retention experience and is well-versed in executing print/direct and digital marketing campaigns to grow and engage audiences of NYC/Upper West Side parents and children.

This is an opportunity to build on the success of the JCC's Nursery School, two summer Day Camps, and a breadth of ongoing/seasonal programs to reach the parents of children from toddlers to Teens + Tweens!

This is a very hands-on role with direct enrollment + retention responsibility for the JCC's Nursery School, Day Camp at the JCC, and our offsite day camp, Camp Settoga. Additionally, this individual will supervise a Marketing Manager focused on Seasonal programming audience development and collaborate with a part-time Director of Partnerships on this team.

The right person for this role will have project management skills for marketing campaigns large and small, be well organized, and be able to multitask while on deadline. Experience with lead gen, paid, branded content, social media, search optimization and advertising (SEO and SEM), and email marketing will be critical to success. This individual will embrace digital tools and platforms and use data-driven decisions to achieve strategic goals.

This individual will be an active part of a larger marketing team, reporting to the Sr. Director of Marketing on the Engagement team, supporting the overall goals of growing and engaging the JCC community. The position will be expected to work in person in Upper West Side office with some remote work days.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Deliver on registration/enrollment, lead generation, and retention goals set by the Chief Family Officer for Nursery School, Day Camp, and Camp Settoga

Manage and serve as a mentor to a Marketing Manager to deliver seasonal program goals for Parenting, Infant + Toddler, School Age, and Teens+Tweens areas.

Develop marketing plans and timelines and manage projects from start to finish, keeping all stakeholders on track to achieve desired deadlines.

Collaborate with other Marketing team members and the design, web, and programming teams on priority program marketing campaigns and vendors

Track + analyze the effectiveness of marketing strategies via Google Analytics and other metrics, reporting regularly to the leadership team.

Oversee the creation of print and electronic marketing materials internally and with local vendors (digital and print) and partners.

Create, guide, and publish creative social media content for both main and area-specific accounts

Manage budgets and closely track expenses

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree

5+ years' post-collegiate experience, specifically in consumer marketing/communications

Proven track record of successful development and delivery of digital campaigns:

Experience with organic, paid, social, search, partnerships, and email marketing will be critical to success.

Experience with digital platforms like Google Analytics, Meta, Canva, Monday.com or Asana is a plus

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Successful track record of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong, in-depth understanding of current marketing trends.

Comfortable with change management + process reinvention

Prior work with kids, schools, and knowledge of local organizations that feature children's programming and/or the Upper West Side is a plus

Salary Range:

Minimum $75,000 - Maximum $90,000, commensurate with experience
