Our corporate values guide us uncompromisingly to always do the right thing, continually learn and improve, respect everyone and lead with service and humility.About the RoleIn the role of Designer II, you would be located at our Hannibal Manufacturing Center of Excellence.As a Designer II, you will focus on Mechanical Layout (3D), product documentation, shop floor support and component research. You will manage your own activities and take accountability for completing routine tasks that are part of an overall product design process. As part of the Hannibal engineering team, you will be a team member who is relied on to have a good understanding of procedures, techniques, tools, materials and equipment. You will follow standard procedures to complete tasks, some of which may vary in scope, sequence, complexity and timing. You will contribute to the team's success by sharing your previously acquired knowledge.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCreate part and assembly drawings for new and existing productsCreate and edit BOM for new and existing productsPrepare CAD drawings for new parts and assemblies based on the instructions of othersComponent design, research and verification of form, fit and functionImplement engineering changes including layout revisions, BOM updates, and drawing/design updatesProcess rework or prototype orders for standard/modified standard productRead and interpret customer drawingsPerform inspections or other evaluations of products and processes based on defined procedures and standards and verify/validate procedures and standards for these activitiesAssist in manufacturability of new productsManage own time, professional development, prioritize workflows and be accountable for own results.

Required QualificationsTwo-year degree or high-school graduate and related experience (3-5 years)Basic CAD knowledge using Solid Works Mechanical SoftwareProblem solving and troubleshooting skills

Desired QualificationsMicrosoft window operating systemUnderstanding of basic electrical formulasDatabase awareness, PLM, MAC PAC.
