The Design Network is searching for an energetic and versatile Art Director with a zeal for media and entertainment who can balance creative and strategic thinking with technical expertise to design compelling artwork for the TDN brand and its portfolio of original TV series. As Art Director, you will play a key role in branding, building a passionate and loyal audience, increasing viewership and successfully delivering results to network sponsors. You should be creative, positive and solution-oriented with a willingness to step outside the box.

Based in High Point, NC, The Design Network is the fastest growing streaming TV channel focused on all things home. From jaw-dropping design and compelling stories to a cast of prestigious experts and popular influencers, we’re pushing the limits of architecture, design, home and lifestyle like never before. We curate inspirational content from our design community and produce original TV series where consumers are entertained and can learn from the pros. Available on all major streaming platforms including Samsung TV Plus, DIRECTV, The Roku Channel, Sling TV, Freevee, Amazon Fire TV, Plex, Xumo, fuboTV and more.

Hybrid: Remote/In-Office (requiring up to 2 days/week in the office in Jamestown, NC)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Conceptualize and produce clean, compelling designs for The Design Network brand including website and channel graphics, digital marketing and promotional materials, printed collateral and signageDesign series graphics packages that include show logos, lower thirds, infographics and show credits (to be implemented by series editors)Collaborate with sales team to produce materials including network decks, series one-sheets and pitches, brand proposals and campaign reportsDesign and distribute e-blasts to network viewership through third party e-mail marketing service, currently MailChimpWork with Creative Director to create and post social media assets including graphics and video for Instagram, FB, TikTok and YouTubeHelp to review and refine website UI and experience from a creative, graphic and brand-sensitive point of viewEffectively communicate ideas and collaborate with team membersHelp define The Design Network’s visual language with an emphasis on consistency, brand presence and innovationProactively and positively share ideas with peers, participate in creative brainstorming sessions, document design phases for projects and effectively meet deadlinesQUALIFICATIONS:

Two-or four-year degree in Graphic Design or Bachelor of Fine ArtsExperience level: 3-5+ yearsExercise an uncompromising attention to detail, especially with visual communication (color, layout, typography) and interactive experiencesExperience in file preparation for traditional marketing and digital mediumsExpert knowledge of Adobe Creative SuiteWorking knowledge of Premiere Pro (cutting clips, screen captures) plus basic knowledge of video filesWorking knowledge of Wix website builder platform; HTML/CSS skills are a plusWorking knowledge of social media platformsAbility to take creative direction, feedback, suggestions and implement across a range of deliverablesAbility to excel in a fast-paced environment, working individually or as part of a teamAdept at problem solvingFlexibility in work structure; with the ability to shift priorities when needed
