Responsible for planning and execution of marketing strategies to increase traffic, sales, and conversion. Utilize promotions, advertising, and localized grassroots marketing techniques to support new store growth as well as comp store growth. Responsible for coordination of all domestic retail events including new stores, anniversary stores, company sponsored events, and celebrity appearances.

Essential Job Results

Develop new store opening advertising campaigns to increase awareness, drive traffic, and accelerate growth.Research costs and create event budgets. Manage expenses closely to ensure campaigns stay within approved budget.Partner with Regional and District managers to develop plans to support struggling markets and stores. Conduct store and market visits as necessary to create a localized approach to marketing.Manage a team to support promotional and advertising efforts. Responsible for the training and development.Evaluate campaigns with written analysis in a timely manner. Analyze data to support marketing programs and initiatives and make recommendations based on results.Maintain library of grassroots marketing collateral i.e. flyers, discount cards, and tear pads updated bi-annually.Work with the Digital team to develop promotional campaigns utilizing email, web, social, and mobile channels to drive sales.Champion our loyalty program in stores. Work closely with the digital team to develop loyalty campaigns to drive acquisitions, traffic, and conversion.Create web ads to mirror current promotions and ensure the promotions are represented on mall center websites.Responsible for lease required advertising programs for specific retail properties.Work with the Operations team to implement strategies to enhance the customer experience in Big Box stores. Make shopping at Skechers a fun and memorable experience for families.Maintain an inventory of giveaway items to use for events and campaigns. This includes researching new creative ideas, sourcing vendors, bidding process, and overseeing the purchase and fulfillment of orders.Travel competitor stores and report on current promotions and advertising methods. Look for new and innovative ways to improve our business. Provide written reports, recaps, and recommendations.Work in tandem with the Operations department to communicate updates to office and field and provide clear execution expectations.Work closely with the Graphics department to develop creative and manage the process from inception to execution. Ensure that deadlines are met.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesOversee a Marketing Coordinator and/or Specialist. The Retail Marketing Manager will ensure they meet deadlines, perform at a high level, and are responsible for the growth and development of the employee(s).

Job Requirements/characteristics

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.Must have a strong command of Microsoft Office and understanding of retail calculations.Must have the ability to analyze data, provide insights, and make recommendations.Must possess strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple projects and priorities with minimal supervision.Must have the ability to manage another person and support their growth and development.Must demonstrate a high degree of expense awareness and control.Strives for creativity and innovation. Finds solutions to complex problems.Deep understanding of customer buying behavior, especially in the big box environment.Flexibility to frequent changes and ability to react quickly.Ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships and work with outside vendors, field staff, and other departments cross-functionally on projects to success.Self-starter with high level of initiative and a strong sense of ownership and urgency.Must display a high degree of professionalism, tact and diplomacy.Travel as required to effectively learn and develop strategy.Job Qualifications

Must have at least 3 years of successful experience in a corporate retail marketing position.Past supervisory experience.Past experience working either in-store or at the corporate level for a big box or warehouse retailer is preferred.Advertising experience including both traditional, grassroots, and digital.Must have event planning experience.Basic to advanced proficiency of Adobe Photoshop.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Impeccable attention to detail.Highly Proficient in MS-Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator a plus.BA or BS in business or marketing or related field is preferred, but not required. Ability to perform detailed quantitative analysis on marketing campaigns to judge effectiveness.

The pay range for this role is $80,000-$95,000K/yr USD
