Job Description Summary

The Rozsa Center for the Performing Arts is looking for an Assistant Marketing Manager to join our team, supporting marketing and ticketing activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media platforms, experience with graphic design, and be able to work independently and as part of a team. Some night and weekend work are required to support social media.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned)

The Assistant Marketing Manager will be responsible for various marketing tasks, including social media management, graphic design for print and digital spaces, and creating digital programs

Managing the Rozsa’s social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram)

Maintaining digital event listings, community calendars, and web listings

Coordinating program materials and creation of digital programs

Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns

Assist with other marketing tasks as needed

Commit to learning about continuous improvement strategies and applying them to everyday work.

Apply safety-related knowledge, skills, and practices to everyday work.

Other duties as assigned

Required Education, Certifications, Licensures (minimum requirements)

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, communications, arts administration, graphic design, or a related field

Required Experience (minimum requirements)

1-3 years of general marketing experience

Experience marketing performing arts events

Experience marketing events

Digital literacy and proficiency using software such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, CRM systems

Comfort with photography and/or videography

Desirable Education and/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in business, communications, arts administration, graphic design, or a related field

Required Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities (minimum requirements)

Ability to execute projects with precision

Enthusiasm for and curiosity about visual and performing arts

Experience with graphic design

Enthusiasm for teamwork and organization

Ability to reliably work to complete tasks and assignments independently

Strong understanding of social media platforms

Reliable transportation to support social media for off-site events

Strong written skills in English

Ability to lift 25 pounds

Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and/or Abilities

Experience with copywriting and editing

Customer service experience

Proficiency using AudienceView Campus, Omni CMS, InstantEncore, and Localist

Work Environment and/or Physical Demands

The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

Must be able to lift 25 lbs., bend, stretch, stand for extended periods of time, climb stairs, reach, twist, sit, walk, and/or run.

Valid driver’s license.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required at times.

PPE should be used on an as-needed basis
