Department: Engineering
Position Summary: A Drafter at Idaho Steel Products, Inc. must have the ability to generate drawings, details, and technical data appropriate for fabrication and manufacturing of food processing equipment. Specialized drafting training such as an associate degree or equal experienced based proficiency is required. The position will require knowledge of industrial mechanical design and practices and will require the ability to create, self-check, manage, and coordinate complete sets of construction drawings. Computer skills with a working knowledge of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor are required. Drafters must be team oriented, self-motivated, and able to be productive independently and in a group environment. Strong work ethic, integrity, and a willingness to learn and grow within the company are also an important part of employment with Idaho Steel Products.

Knowledge of AutoCAD and Inventor software and applications.Ability to create functional drawings for fabrication and manufacturing of Idaho Steel equipment.Good computer skills and a basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite Tools.Ability to multi-task between several projects concurrently in a timely and professional manner.Good verbal and written communication skills.Willingness to travel when needed.Understand the safety policies of the shop and to follow the shop safety practices.Maintain healthy relationships with neighboring community, customers, vendors, competitors, and co-workers.Physical Demands:
Climbing stairs and ladders.Repetitive motion (to include, but not limited to): sitting for long periods of time, working at a computer, and typing for long periods of time.Wearing required personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, work boots, gloves, etc.).
