The employee is responsible for keeping all paper work relative to the shop operation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Opens work orders and establishes individual files. 2. Checks daily attendance records and submits them bi-weekly to payroll department. 3. Posts job cards, daily time charges against each work order. 4. Maintains a file of parts requisitions and invoices for parts supplied against work orders for posting to the final billing. 5. Posts all extensions on work orders of labor and parts as they are closed. 6. Types customer and accounting copies of work orders for billing on computer, answers customer questions regarding work orders. 7. Prepares work order and by-use control log and technician labor register and summary as required. 8. Maintains and files service copies of work orders after billing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: 1. Must read work orders and transcribe into customer's invoices. 2. Must read, understand and transcribe all numerical values related to figuring time cards and work orders. 3. Must compute bills, times cards and payroll. 4. Must access and input information on computer regarding work performed on equipment, machine's history, and update customer records. 5. Must communicate verbally with customers and technicians for the purpose of explaining work orders and service documents. 6. Must read and understand pricing guides and warranties and be able to implement them. 7. Must use written language skills to document parts ordered and used. 8. Employees will work under moderate supervision in an informal team oriented atmosphere.

CONDITIONS AFFECTING WORKING ENVIRONMENT: The service clerk will be subjected to the following environmental conditions: 1. Exposure to outside weather conditions. 2. Noise from equipment running in shop. 3. Must be aware of moving machinery and electrical hazards while in the shop area. 4. The employee will be exposed to fumes, odors and exhausts from the shop area
