About The Role

Thesis is looking for an ambitious, data-driven, and creative Director, Acquisition Marketing to lead our digital and offline customer acquisition. In this role, you will rapidly scale our performance marketing program to the next level by developing an efficient, contribution margin positive customer acquisition strategy, expanding and optimizing a full-funnel paid media channel mix, and leading teams of internal and cross-functional stakeholders across media buying, creative development, and performance reporting and analytics.

You will drive a strategic roadmap for acquisition and will be responsible for end-to-end strategy, execution, and performance of digital and offline channels. You will develop and manage an in-house team as well as external agencies and consultants.

This is a high-visibility role with the opportunity to have significant business impact. You'll report directly to our Chief Marketing Officer, have frequent exposure to our executive team and collaborate closely with leaders across retention, digital product, engineering, brand marketing and creative departments.

How You'll Make an Impact:Lead strategy, tactical execution, and optimization of all digital and offline acquisition marketing channels, including paid social, paid search, display, radio and streaming audio, TV and OTT, direct mail, influencer marketing, affiliates and moreManage channels and campaigns toward business growth (revenue / LTV) and profitability (CAC) goals, and provide clear recommendations to continually improve performanceDevelop media calendars and testing roadmaps across key performance vectors, such as audience segmentation and targeting, creative / copy, bids and budget optimizationPartner with external agencies and vendors to set up, execute, and optimize campaignsBuild a top-of-funnel lead generation program, optimizing for lead capture, email acquisition, and other upper funnel metrics as measurement capabilities evolveHelp drive a creative refresh process, providing clear and compelling briefs to the creative team to develop new advertising assets and landing pages, based on performance insights from prior testing and learning, and ensuring a pipeline of fresh creative assets to deployCreate and operationalize A/B testing process for campaigns, creative, messaging, landing pages, targeting, and moreDrive improvement in reporting, collaborating with marketing analytics to refine KPIs selection, holistically evaluate new and existing channel performance, and proactively identify actions to optimize and improve with robust leading indicatorsPartner closely with finance team members to build financial forecasts based on different budget and efficiency scenariosAct as a great cross-functional partner, collaborating with digital product, engineering, finance, operations, brand marketing and creative teams to achieve our goalsWe're Excited About Your:

7-10 years hands-on experience in media buying and customer acquisition, with at least 2 years of people management experiencePrior experience scaling a digitally-native consumer business with rapid growthWell-versed in direct marketing fundamentals and channel best practices for Meta, Google, YouTube, and other online and offline media channelsExperience working on products with complex customer journeys and education is a plusExceptional problem-solving and project management skillsExperience working cross functionally with creative, brand marketing, and digital marketing teamsThrive in a in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment, with a bias for actionMust be authorized to work in the United StatesPay Transparency:

We can't quantify everything we think you'll love about working at Thesis, from the exciting projects you'll work on, to the smart and humble team you'll get to work with, and our supportive and inclusive culture. That said, our salary ranges are based on paying competitively for our size and industry, and are one part of our total rewards package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and equity. The base salary hiring range for this position is $165,000-205,000 + annual bonus, but the final compensation offer will ultimately be based on the candidate's location, skill level and experience.
