This position reviews and evaluates design selections with clients during implementation and upon completion.
Responsibilities:
Must be able to work weekends.Assists new home buyers with color choices, options, and product selection in the overall design of their new home, ensuring customer satisfactionCustomer-focused with excellent communication and presentation skillsPromotes the enhancement of upgrading standard linesAttends all product sales training meetings to stay knowledgeable of all new and upcoming product lines on the marketBecome educated in the line of products carried, their uses, prices, etc. to effectively communicate with guestsEngages guests promptly, personally, and with the goal of opening the conversation and ensuring they feel welcomeInteracts with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about the Design StudioGreets each guest with a smile and direct eye contactProvides the highest level of customer service to all current and future buyersCommunicates with customers to establish clear goals and expectations for each experienceStays on schedule with design appointments and ensures that builds are completed by the set deadlineAddresses customer complaints and works to find a resolution, involving management as neededMust be able to work weekendsPerforms all duties in adherence to company standardsStrives to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practicesMaintains a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors, and co-workersPerforms other duties as assignedQualifications (Education, Experience, Technical Skills)
Education and Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required, Associates Degree preferred.3+ years of experience in a similar position preferredCertificate of interior design or higher preferredSkills and Knowledge:Must be able to read, write, and understand English and have strong verbal and written communication and listening skills. Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.PC and Microsoft Office proficiency is essentialMust be able to read and interpret floor plans, cabinet drawings, and electrical plans and visualize in three dimensionsProficient in using a scale rulerMust be highly creative and possess the ability to coordinate interiors and exteriors that are welcoming to clients of all ages and be sensitive to the individual's tastes and cultural preferencesMust be able to establish rapport with others and cultivate relationships easilyMust be energetic, driven, and focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience with every interactionMust be well organized, efficient, and have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentAbility to convey messages and ideas concisely and effectively with professionalismPersonal Attributes:Strong interpersonal skillsDetail-orientedHonesty and integritySelf-starterTeam playerCommitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
