Job Scope

The Director, Brand & Strategic Marketing Communications oversees Acumed's branding including development and implementation of marketing strategies for Company. Develops marketing communication activities which drive revenue growth and increases brand presence. Utilizes resources to deliver integrated strategic marketing communications. Produces print, digital, e-mail, and web communications that drive positive visibility and establishes a harmonized and consistent brand image, presence and messaging in collaboration with product marketing teams. Leads Marketing Communications team and supervises marketing assets.

Responsibilities

Manages design and creation of sales and marketing materialsLeads strategic direction for direct advertising and media relationsManages company presence at professional meetingsPlans, develops, and leads Acumed brand architecture strategy including executing annual brand target setting, innovation review, and brand strategy reviewDevelops and manages schedules and budgets for campaigns and initiativesCollaborates effectively across cross-functional teams to evaluate, identify, and recommend opportunities to increase market share, strengthen brand, and amplify consumer brand experienceOversees content on Acumed websites and print materials globallyDevelops and manages marketing communications' budget annuallyManages Acumed brand usage inquiries, reviews, approvals; issues license agreements; analyzes best practices and identifies ways to improve use of logos/trademarksGuides brand strategy projects, including developing creative briefs, leading strategy for projects that extends brand messaging across multiple media channels and works with creative team to deliver effective and exciting brand creativeDevelops and maintains professional working relationships with outside vendorsMaintains strong understanding of current Acumed product linesActs as ambassador of global Acumed brand identityResearches innovative delivery methods for sales and marketing messagesManages creative teamQualifications

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising or related field; Master's preferred8+ years of strategic marketing communications required10+ years supervisory experience leading team of professional creative staff preferredExcellent brand management, messaging, positioning, and promotional skillsExperience in medical illustration highly preferredProficient with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, QuarkXPress, PowerPoint and other programsExperience with graphic design, print and web/multimedia projectsStrong organizational and project planning skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsFamiliar with database concepts for marketing purposes
