PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Develop and manage a marketing and communications strategy that drives broader awareness of TXCPA; enhances TXCPA’s position with relevant audiences; and drives revenue growth for the association.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide leadership, management and development for the marketing and communications team.

Collaborate with the COO and other key staff leaders to develop marketing and communication strategies to effectively increase awareness of the association, grow membership, increase participation in the association's programs, grow non-dues revenue sources, and increase sales of products and services.

Oversee brand use by TXCPA and its related entities, including the 20 local chapters, to ensure that TXCPA's logos and intellectual property are properly utilized and protected.

Lead, track and measure the association's content management strategy including development, curation and delivery channels. Ensure generation of print and digital content that engages audience segments.

Keep abreast of trends and issues in the accounting profession and work with staff leadership to recognize and leverage communications opportunities to advocate for and promote the CPA profession.

Manage the design, development, production and distribution of all print and digital communications, including but not limited to a member magazine, content supplements, marketing and advertising collateral, e-newsletters, videos, social media content, and TXCPA’s website.

Collaborate with the membership team and data analyst to research TXCPA's member experience and member behaviors to address opportunities to enhance marketing and communications and deliver relevant content and engagement opportunities for members.

Identify public relations opportunities to ensure coverage of TXCPA programs, government affairs activities, events, and other initiatives and projects.

Manage the use of external resources and vendors as they pertain to the marketing communications functions (e.g., writers, graphic designers, printers, agencies).

Prepare presentations for staff and key volunteers that support the Society's messaging and brand.

Ensure all marketing and communications committees are appropriately staffed/resourced.

Perform other duties as assigned.
