Reporting to the Senior Director, Head of User Experience, the

Sr Mgr., User Experience (UX) Research

is a hands-on manager, who also manages a high performing UX Research team by creating an open and collaborative culture based on trust in the UX Research team. The Sr. UX Research Manager sets clear expectations and goals for UX Researchers, while holding them accountable for success.

The

Sr Mgr., User Experience (UX) Research

owns the strategy and delivery of UX Research commitments and leads the team with a focus on always looking to deliver for the business through effective research collaboration to deliver actionable insights.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manages a high performing UX Research team of 4-6, leveraging a multi-support model of resource managementLeads all activities necessary to ensure research operations and execution provides efficient support for the UX team and the businessFormulates strategy to continuously improve product performanceCreates an open and collaborative culture based on trust in the UX Research teamSets clear expectations and goals for UX Researchers while holding them accountable for success mapped to favorable product outcomesDelivers actionable insights to the business with a focus on efficient analysis and effective storytelling when delivering research insightsMaintains an accurate and current understanding of the active UX Research efforts being conducted by the team, while managing own project workloadBuilds and develops research toolkit to extend across all levels of complexityDemonstrates, explains, and coaches others how to apply a range of research methods, understanding the balance and trade-offs between rapid research and longitudinal research effortsLeads by example by initiating and conducting research projects to help build foundational knowledge of our users, consisting of a mix of problem validation, formative research, and strategic research projectsCommunicates, advocates for, and socializes actionable insights in a clear and compelling way through good storytelling and delivering actionable insightsPartners with the Customer organization, Market Research, Product, and others, to understand strategy, discover blockers, manage quality, and help ensure UX Research is prioritized in alignment with cross-functional considerationActively seeks out difficult impediments to efficiency as a function (process, tooling, etc.); proposes and implements design solutions based on data and insights that will enable the UX Org to deliver on business objectivesRequired Qualifications & Attributes:

Bachelor's degree or commensurate professional experience in field10+ years of experience in user research and design, including 5+ years directly managing, coaching, and developing researchersProven track record of driving change through UX ResearchDeep knowledge in the field of UX Research with a proven understanding of quantitative and qualitative research methodsDemonstrated ability to tie research efforts to business outcomes in line with business KPIs and defines measurement of research to track efficacy for the businessEvangelize research: Share user insights within the broader organization and externally in creative ways to increase empathy for customer needsProven experience as a trusted, strategic partner to stakeholders by communicating and demonstrating value of UX research, and by delivering insights that lead to demonstratable business valueExperience navigating and supporting teams through high ambiguity and rapid change while maintaining a consistent research pipelineExpertise working with cross-functional teams leading engineering, marketing, sales, and partnerships with engineering teamsSample work displaying ability to convert research findings into insights artifactsBase Salary Ranges:

$170,000 - $210,000
