Interior Designer

Hire Resolve’s client is a leading Architecture and planning firm that is urgently seeking the expertise of an Interior Designer in San Jose, CA.Responsibilities:Perform interior design assignments that include interpreting client’s needs, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documentationPerforms work requiring independent judgment in evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation/modification of standard techniques and procedures.Participate in the selection and presentation of furniture, furniture systems, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and lightingGenerate design with 3D models, Revit, Sketchup or other software, create digital 3D view to communicate design conceptsGenerate Interior finishes and reflected ceiling plans, elevations, details, specifications, and material selections needed for constructionProvide design support and documentation during completion and execution of design conceptsWork with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricatorsGuide and mentor junior designersWork in a synergistic manner with other design and professional staffContribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning programsRequirementsBachelor’s degree from an accredited school of design or architecture8+ years of design leadership of interior design and/or architecture projects; recent workplace, education and/or healthcare project experience is required.LEED accreditation or WELL AP is preferredExperience delivering highly sustainable design solutions.Strong leadership, communication, presentation, and relationship management skillsProficiency in Revit and other computer design programsMust have a portfolio of workplace, education or healthcare projects.
