LPA is seeking a passionate

Design Coordinator

to join our integrated team of architects, engineers, interior designers, landscape architects and master planners. Our Education studio is committed to creating engaging environments that put 21st century skills at the center of learning. We have completed projects such as Environmental Nature Center Preschool, Tarbut V'Torah and Eastvale STEM Academy. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with our in-house multidisciplinary teams including engineering, landscape and interiors. We work primarily on education projects Southern California.

You will be working with directors and principals in the studio and across the firm. We are looking to you to help us continue to develop our talented designers and engineers.

What you will do:

You will be living and breathing the project from inception to completion and be able to turn your hand to all aspects of the projectThe Design Coordinator will assist Project Architects, Project Designers and Project Managers in the execution of specific assignmentsPrepare documentation and oversee documentation for design development and construction documentsReview and process construction administration documentsOrganize research for product and construction methods related to projectsMentor-ship from project leaders and managing directors, provide mentorship to junior designersWhat we will do:

Provide mentorship from Managing Directors and Design Directors as well as other in-house disciplines on all projectsProvide career growth opportunities including licensure incentives, professional development grants and our professional development processIn-house management and leadership training opportunitiesEducation opportunities including LPA+U and LPA Tech TalksProvide study grants for exploration - Catapult, LPA FoundationDesign Coordinator Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Architecture5+ years of experience in all phases of architectural projectsActively pursuing architectural license (or already licensed) and LEED accreditationProficiency in Revit. Good knowledge of Rhino and Adobe Creative Suite preferred.Knowledge of building codes, related regulations construction materials and specifications preferredDemonstrate independence, innovation, and vision with program, project design, and implementationCommitment to pursue high quality construction documents

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $100,000 and is eligible for an annual bonus. If you are hired at LPA, your base salary is based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, experience and/or project complexity.
