POSITION SUMMARY:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating broadcast graphics for daily content offering a standardized concept throughout RNN show/properties. Assist with creation and implementation of new graphical packed as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

Produce on-air graphics packages/elements for RNN shows/propertiesControl room CG operator for Live or Live to Tape daily showsCreate graphics to support editorial content for live television production.Participate in the design and execution of elements ranging from on-air still graphics, show opens and animated packages. Exceptional sense of design, color and typographyConceptualize, design, and animate graphics for new programs as neededEffectively communicate concepts and ideasTranslate graphics requests to brand strategy and standards and convert into quality designStay current with creative and technical industry trendsCritical Competencies for Success:

At least 3 years with a television network or video advertising agencyMust have strong design frames and animation show reelProficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and After EffectsENPS, Xpression and Chyron Hego Channel Box Prime. Knowledge of 3D application a plusEfficient use of Photoshop/graphic designing software in a MAC environment - Apple OSX platform, Final Cut Pro, Apple’s MotionVersatile, creative and always eager to try new approaches and techniquesMust be flexible, deadline driven, a great collaborator, and must be able to confidently deliver graphics with complete accuracyPossess excellent verbal and written communication skillsBe extremely organized and demonstrate initiative and an ability to complete multiple assignments in a timely mannerIndividual must work well in a dynamic environment and be able to work independently and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyThe ability to effectively take direction as well as offer his/her own creative thoughts, ideas and suggestionsWilling to work overtime, weekends and some holidays.Good speller a mustRemains current with political issues, events and relevant people

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

BA/BS Degree in graphic design, film, animation, or fine arts. Minimum three (3) years progressively complex experience in a cable network or agency production environment.
