Senior Visual Designer,Client Retail is looking for a contract Senior Visual Designer to work within the Retail Internal Communications team.This person is a creative thinker, a visual communicator and can turn complex business problems into simple creative solutions.He/She is a creative lead, working closely with project teams of communication strategists, writers, and designers to create global and localized editorial content on an internal communications platform.He/She has experience with editorial content (photography, illustration, motion graphics), has an understanding of user experience, and is able to iterate multiple concepts and creative solutions within an established design aesthetic.

Key Qualifications• Has 7+ years of agency or in-house designer experience.• Has 1+ years of editorial experience in print or digital.• Has a deep understanding of typography and design for mobile and web.• Demonstrates a user-centered approach to design.• Synthesizes complex information into simple design solutions.• Is a self-starter and is able to handle multiple projects and deadlines.• Communicates clearly, both verbal and written.• Confidently presents creative work - sometimes not their own - to multiple teams and to leadership.• Able to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure without losing focus on the details.• Is a team player and can work in a collaborate environment.• Able to adjust work schedule as needed to collaborate with global teams in multiple time zones.• Has an awareness of current social, news, and entertainment media spaces.• Is proficient on the latest macOS and iOS platforms.• Has expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and Sketch app.• Having a working knowledge of the current iWork suite (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) is a plus.

DescriptionThe Senior Visual Designer will be part of a visual design team that develops creative strategies from concept to execution and shapes content with a strong editorial perspective.He/She will become familiar with Client's Retail culture and behavior to build empathy with various user audience groups.Responsibilities include researching topics, brainstorming and presenting concepts, sourcing photography and illustration, iterating mockups and executing deliverables based on creative briefs and partnerships with the project teams and business partners.Deliverables could include original conceptual artwork (e.g. illustration, infographics), wireframes, layout mockups, creative approach presentations, and production of visual assets.He/She will team up with communication strategists, writers, producers, and publishers, sometimes lead the creative approach.He/She may oversee the execution of conceptual designs through another designer or sometimes may need to perform production tasks him/herself.This person must have seasoned experience working in an iterative process, collaborating with various business partners and professionally receiving art direction and feedback.

EducationBachelor's degree required in a design related discipline, such as graphic design or visual communication.
