is growing, and we'd love to have you join our team! We are currently seeking a Mechanical Project Designer 2 in our Austin, TX office. As a Mechanical Project Designer 2, you will perform calculations, system design, equipment selections, reports, progress submittals, and BIM instructions for the project and specifications required to ensure project completeness and accuracy on time, within monetary budget, and in accordance with IMEG design standards.Some key duties and responsibilities include:Lead design for mechanical systems and mentor junior staff
Research, coordinate, verify, schedule and document various design aspects
Build, maintain, and develop client relationships
Quickly solve problems and seek the advice of the Project Manager
Perform services as required by the contract services agreement
Key skills and abilities needed for the position are:Mastery of mechanical design and technical aspects
Demonstrated aptitude for project management
Knowledge and understanding of fluid, material, and atmospheric dynamics
Skill in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, CAD, and BIMprograms
Ability to communicate clearly both orally and written
Education and experience requirements are:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, with a minimum of 6 years of qualifying experience
ORA minimum of 12 years of qualifying experience without a bachelor's degree
