Who We’re Looking For

The Director of Women’s Media Marketing for North America is at the forefront of shaping and leading Nike Women’s Media Strategy. They are excited about co-creating and driving a world class media program here at Nike. They play an integral role within the Nike NA Brand Marketing team to help amplify the brand, via best-in-class storytelling and delivering results that drive growth in the marketplace.

They have a steadfast curiosity for consumer insights while staying on the cutting edge of media trends, implementing test plans for media campaigns and geeking out over data and audience strategies. They have a strong understanding of the paid media & advertising space and use that experience to collaborate with brand management and creative partners to develop world class marketing & media plans.

They have a desire to activate Nike marketing plans in a way that authentically connects with athletes* while bringing a clear understanding of sport & cultural trends, a collaborative style & passion for the Nike brand to the team. The candidate should have experience driving innovative and creative approaches to full funnel digital and traditional media plans, and they should have a background using qualitative and quantitative results to actively manage media campaigns that deliver strong results. They are comfortable building relationships with senior level marketing leads, media partners, creative and channel experts to proactively develop strategic approaches to leveraging Media for best-in-class marketing.

What You’ll Work On

Lead the Media strategy, planning and implementation for all Womens marketing efforts extending across Running, Lifestyle and Women’s Sport in North America

Collaborate closely with internal creative teams to develop ideas and creative assets with the end-in-mind

Maintain a pulse on weekly campaign performance, to understand trends and identify successes and opportunities to internal leadership in Marketing

Ensure your team is accurately leading and updating multi-million dollar budget forecasts and reconciliations across projects

Align and socialize media’s priorities and needs to NA and Global marketing partners

Act as the voice of our off-platform consumer, sharing feedback with senior level brand and creative leads on NA Integrated Media needs to ensure audience and channel-right standard processes

Ensure Nike Women’s media campaigns, journeys and audience strategies are designed to meet various objectives, and deliver highly targeted, premium, relevant content to that audience

Partner with agencies of record on quarterly and annual projects to ensure Nike Integrated Media is at the industry forefront of innovation, audience targeting, measurement and inclusion of minority owned site partnerships

Meet with global IM counterparts to ensure alignment on key Joint Business Partnerships and comprehensive media planning on Tier 1 campaigns

Who You’ll Work With

You will report to the Senior Director, NA Media Marketing and partner closely with the Men’s NA Media Marketing lead to ensure strategic oversight of all paid media campaigns. You will directly support the marketing strategy set forth by our VP of Women’s Marketing, NA and partner closely with the entire NA Women’s Marketing Squad. You will be a key voice in managing agency relationships, ensuring they hit key objectives and annual goals and milestones. You will lead and manage a team of 3-4 direct reports plus a robust agency team. You will be up to date on new advertising and paid strategies/tactics and platform capabilities through your relationships with senior media partners externally and internally.

What You Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field; MBA preferred

10+ years of experience in media marketing

A passion for sport, style and culture

Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing highly impactful teams

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and levels

Strategic problem solver with the ability to translate insights into actionable plans and initiatives

Dedication to fostering a team culture of collaboration, respect and inclusivity

Commitment to personal growth

Strong understanding of digital and direct response marketing across key channels including Paid Social, Display, Video, Search, Affiliates and Custom programs in an e-commerce setting required; experience at a multi-channel retailer and/or driving online-to-offline programs a strong plus

Proven track record of working highly-collaboratively and cross-functionally, investing in relationships across diverse brand, creative, business, media, and technical teams. Skilled at leading teams both directly and indirectly in a highly matrixed environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including concepting and delivering presentations on complex business issues required

Previous experience with managing large marketing budgets and having a proven record of delivering against sharp KPIs, revenue goals, and return on ad spend

Strong analytical skills & comfort with getting your “hands dirty” diving deep into the numbers. Proven capability to use data to drive business decisions & marketing optimization required
