$2,524.61 to $2,777.07 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Performs skilled professional work identifying, writing, maintaining, reviewing, and coordinating grant opportunities in an effort to secure grants of all types for various programs and writes, reviews, and coordinates with local municipalities on Joint Participation Agreements (JPAs) for the Public Works Department. This is specialized work in a support services operation that involves problem-solving, decision-making, researching, and investigating various grant opportunities. Work includes researching and identifying funding sources for transportation and facilities projects and preparing grant applications and other documentation in coordination with partner agencies. This position has no responsibility for staff supervision.REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Management, Accounting, or a closely related field PLUS four (4) years of progressively responsible grant coordination experience. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience applying for, obtaining, and coordination of grants in government is preferred. Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Local Administered Project (LAP) certification is preferred. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment.
