Overview

Responsible for the process of expediting jobs issued for construction by the customer/client.

Responsibilities

Expediting assigned purchase orders to ensure all requirements specified in the purchase order are accomplished including document delivery, efficient coordination, inspections and on time deliveryExpediting new, missing or returned documents/drawings from vendors, contractors and EngineeringParticipating in project meetings to provide updates and status of document submittalsEnsuring submittals are received for Engineer review and returned to vendors/contractors per the scheduleIdentifying and escalating ongoing supplier/contractor documentation issues to Project TeamEmphasizing a proactive, systematic and standardized approach to detect and avert delays to the contractual delivery dates stated within the contractProviding detailed updates to all stakeholders on the status of supplier/contractor document submittalsProviding effective document expediting support and co-ordination for Project TeamEnsuring accuracy of own workServing as focal point for the communication, maintenance and update of supplier delivery commitments noted in the contract/purchase order as negotiated by the BuyerProviding timely information and support to suppliers, contractors and Project TeamPerforming shop visits as necessary for actual status and progress and issue expediting reports to ProjectsIssuing supplier alert notices, such as NCRs and CARs, as requiredReviewing inspection reports for potential problems and further actionsAnalyzing and evaluate the supplier/contractor document and data submittal plansIdentifying disruptions in the supplier/contractor submission and delivery schedulesVerifying the supplier/contractor reported progress and ability to meet its delivery obligationsThrough regular communication with assigned suppliers, insure the latest delivery information is kept up to date and relayed to the Project Team and updated in project scheduleDeveloping and implementing future material management and control plans and proceduresFulfilling additional responsibilities and misc. expediting functions as required to support the ProjectQualifications

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Minimum five years of experience requiredBachelor's Degree requiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
