Position Summary
General Summary/Responsibilities:
A sleep technologist trainee works under the general supervision of the medical director, and direct supervision of the clinical lab manager, sleep center director, lead technician and/or polysomnographic technologist; to provide comprehensive evaluation and treatment of sleep disorders including in center and home sleep apnea testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care and direct patient education. A trainee remains in this level for a year and is required to continue their education by asking questions, doing independent study for sleep medicine and starting the A-STEP modules.
