Company Description

The VP, Digital Marketing will oversee marketing strategy across the vast expanses of the digital landscape. This crucial leadership role will help Red Bull Records marketing to become a more competitive, digitally focused team to lead the market in fan acquisition and engagement, music discovery, social media/content strategy and audience development. You will be at the forefront of digital innovations, trends and new technology platforms including web3 and AI, adopting and integrating new social media platforms for music discovery and community building. You will be an expert in effective paid media strategy and drive revenue from digital channels. You will lead their team to drive discovery of the Red Bull Records artist roster, increasing traffic to streaming and sales, and bringing innovation to our marketing efforts in the digital sector.

Job Description

LEAD DIGITAL MARKETING DEPARTMENT

Own development and execution of the global Digital Marketing strategy for the label.

Manage and mentor a team of 3 direct reports. The VP must demonstrate strong leadership and people management skills, supporting the team to execute best-in-class digital marketing strategy.

Effectively manage digital marketing budgets, in collaboration with Finance and CMO.

Support the CMO in leading the wider label team to reach strategic goals and be digital in everything we do.

Represent Red Bull Records at industry events, conferences, advocating for the label and our artist roster.

SPEARHEAD DIGITAL MARKETING STRATEGY

Own social media, influencer, UGC, shortform and content strategy across the label and the artist roster to increase visibility for the label and artists.

Lead the Digital Marketing team in effective YouTube strategy, optimization and monetization as well as CRM and text marketing strategy.

Communicate effectively to internal and external stakeholders through regular reporting and updates.

Define and evaluate success of campaigns via reporting, insights and postmortem exercises. Execute post-campaign analysis to evaluate effectiveness of digital marketing campaigns.

OVERSEE PLATFORM DEVELOPMENT & PARTNER MANAGEMENT

Oversee label relationships with all digital platforms including but not limited to TikTok, Meta, Snapchat, X, YouTube, Discord etc.

Oversee website, game and app development for the label and artist roster.

Vet and oversee relationships with influencers, consultants and agencies who provide digital services.

LEAD PAID MEDIA STRATEGY

Supervise all digital advertising and paid media efforts for the label, ensuring our campaigns are always performing at optimal levels of efficiency and creativity.

Effectively manage external media agencies and vet potential new partners.

Stay abreast of best practices and compliance in digital advertising, data protection and copyright in collaboration with Red Bull.

OVERSEE CONTENT CREATION & STRATEGY

Collaborate closely with Creative Marketing and Marketing Directors to create engaging content to achieve audience development goals. Ensure content is executed quickly and at high quality.

Closely monitor content seeding strategy across shortform platforms, pivoting quickly when necessary to drive optimal engagement.

DRIVE AUDIENCE GROWTH

Define audience development goals and direct strategy to meet and surpass them across social media, streaming (audio and video) and paid media.

Identify and cultivate Superfan communities. Drive growth of fanbases across all channels in the digital landscape.

Drive marketing innovation and streaming revenue for the label's catalogue on DSPs, in partnership with the Global Digital Accounts (streaming) team.

Qualifications

8+ years of experience in Digital Marketing within the Music/Entertainment industry

Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a proven track record managing teams to excel and mentoring employees to work well together. Engaged in creating a positive workplace culture.

Creatively minded, with a passion for music and developing artists of all genres.

Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, using insights to inform decision-making and optimize performance.

Extremely efficient time management skills and attention to detail. Able to work in demanding, fast-paced environments and prioritize effectively.

An excellent communicator, keeping artist and label teams updated and informed in a timely manner.

Bachelors degree or higher preferred.

Additional Information

The base salary range for this position is $136,895 to $151,305 + cash incentives. Actual salary offer may vary based on work experience. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
