Shamin Hotels is an award-winning developer and Virginia's largest hotel owner, which owns and operates over 70 hotels and has another 15 under various stages of development. With that growth we are seeking a dynamic leader who can join our team as an Interior Designer. As a member of the team, you will develop and contribute to our interior design team creating best in class hospitality projects. Specifically, you will lead all aspects of the design, procurement and quality assurance functions of our new developments and of our transformational renovation projects. This individual has a passion for hospitality design and is able to inspire internal and external participants to create design solutions that thrill guests and align with brand strategy and receive industry recognition.

Essential Job Functions:

Manages the complete design process and documentation package for the interior design of hotel projects, using both internal and external designers to create award-winning projects.Responsible for reviewing and authorizing payment for work orders.Solicits proposals, negotiates contracts and monitors performance.Makes recommendations for development or improvement of processes.Reviews and approves mock-up rooms.Performs final implementation (punch list) review to ensure compliance with brand concepts and standards.Conducts and leads onsite reviews, surveys and meetings with Operations and Owners.Assists in managing project budget, schedule and personnel requirements.Represents the division, both internally and externally, in interior design issues.Mentors design team members to facilitate professional growth.Availability to represent Shamin Hotels at industry events as neededTOP Requirements:

4-year degree from an accredited interior design program is preferred or equivalent work experienceMinimum 2 years experience in the design field, preferably in the hospitality design industry.NCIDQ certificate preferred.
