Software Test Engineer 3, Video Enabled Products, Quality Engineering

If you are a current Chamberlain Group employee, please click here to apply through your Workday account.SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:This role involves developing end to end test solutions for advanced camera features like motion / person detection, face recognition, PIR based sensing, activity zones, live stream, video subscription and billing, and assessment of live stream quality and battery life under different WiFi environments.Lead quality assurance of Video Enabled Products through test planning and tracking, test case development, and manual and automated testing of new features and regression testing.Lead QE team in developing end-to-end test solutions and manual and automated test procedures for Firmware, Middleware and Application testing for Video Enabled Products, working closely with Development teams and Product owners.Lead test strategy and testing for complex camera functionalities such as Passive Infrared (PIR) sensing, motion / person detection, activity zone, live stream, video call, motion event recording, etc.Lead test strategy and testing for video subscription and billing features, and testing of advanced analytics features for video subscriptions.Develop automated testing solution for video / live stream performance, battery life and camera compatibility under different Wi-Fi environments, network impairments.Participate in Scrum, Daily Stand-up, Sprint and iterative development activities. Collaborate with agile team members, scrum master, developers and product owners to support quality assurance activities.Analyze product requirements and user stories, develop cases for full traceability, and verify new features and full functionality.Plan test schedules or strategies in accordance with project scope / delivery dates.Manage complete scope of work assigned and coordinate with remote and external teams.Provide technical leadership and mentorship around test solutions, tooling and best practices for testing of camera, video and advanced camera/video product features.Will work in Oak Brook, Illinois. Telecommuting/remote working allowed.REQUIREMENTS:Must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field plus three (3) years of experience in job offered or related.Must have experience:Testing of video enabled products, advanced camera and video featuresManual and automated testing of web and mobile applicationsLeading QE activities of Scrum team or projects, working with offshore teams Testing of cloud hosted applications, SaaSWorking in CI/CD, Cloud deployments, DevOpsTDD/BDD approaches and relevant tools such as cucumberAbility to execute and create SQL queries and scriptsCandidates must possess work authorization for their intended country of employment.
