VP, PRODUCT MARKETING

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, the VP, Product Marketing is responsible for creating the global go-to-market strategy and overseeing its execution for the entire portfolio of offerings, including products, services and solutions. The VP, Product Marketing plays a key role in making decisions that inform our product roadmap, influence future product strategy, and ultimately drive our go-to-market strategy. In short, a successful candidate will have a huge impact.

Leading a team of product marketers and industry segment marketers as well as market intelligence analysts, the product marketing team will analyze the target markets and competitive positions, discover and define market problems, develop differentiated messaging and positioning, and create compelling content that both drives demand and enables the sales team. The VP will work across the marketing organization to ensure collaboration and consistency across all delivery channels.

As a key member of the PROS marketing leadership team, this person will be the key bridge to Product Management to ensure cross-functional readiness and commercial success of the products. They will serve as the voice of PROS at company and industry events, charged with telling the story of how PROS is leading the shift to modern commerce, helping competitive enterprises create a superior buying experience across every channel.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF THE VP, PRODUCT MARKETING - ABOUT THE ROLE:Translate the company's business objectives, market opportunities and portfolio of offerings into a formal, cohesive go-to-market strategyPartner with leaders across the business (including sales, product, and services) to design an aligned set of strategies, tactics and resources that achieve corporate objectivesProvide insight and support to company leadership to inform the identification and development of new offerings (products, solutions or services)Understand target buyer needs, market trends and the competitive landscapeBuild the go-to-market plan to support and grow the portfolio of offerings, including prioritizing and aligning target audiences, developing effective messaging and building content architectureCreate a sales enablement plan and oversee marketing contributions to drive sales' adoption of the portfolioOversee launch planning for new offerings - including an enterprise-wide process and template - that incorporates products, solutions and services where applicableDevelop the market requirements, buyer personas, and segmentation definition necessary for product strategy and downstream marketing and field execution.Develop the positioning, messaging, content, and thought leadership necessary for brand awareness and demand generationDevelop sales enablement content that prepares the sales organization to successfully find qualified buyers, identify their success outcomes, and compel them to select PROS.Direct pricing strategy to match solution value and market conditions.Manage (in concert with internal partners) customer advisory boards, analyst, and alliance relationships.Develop a highly productive Product Marketing team through coaching and mentoring of existing staff and hiring of top-quality talent.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS - ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for candidates who possess the combination of the following achievements, skills and behaviors:

15+ years of combined B2B product marketing, marketing or product management in the enterprise software market with 10+ years in a Senior leadership roleChampioning cross-organizational programs including Sales, Alliances, Marketing, Product Management, and R&D.Strategic thinking and ability to define and pursue high level objectives.Roll up your sleeves, entrepreneurial, get-it-done attitudeDemonstrable success growing the profitability and performance of large software portfoliosExcellent relationship-building and management skills, both externally and internallyProven ability to build consensus and work collaboratively across functional teams and in matrixed resource modelsProven leadership skills with a demonstrated track-record of recruiting and coaching high- performance teamsKnowledgeable in current technologies, with strong emphasis on mobile and cloudStrong communication and collaboration skills: Ability to operate in a complex, global environment - influencing and gaining consensus on priorities and execution objectivesExceptional writing and presentation skills that emphasize story tellingHIGHLY PREFERRED:
