We are seeking an aid to help maintain our library and offer content support in core areas.
JOB SUMMARY:
Maintains the school library & help with instructional suppportAssists students in daily emotional and educational needs, reinforces teacher's efforts and assists teacher with whatever tasks that need completion.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Assists in all activities to ensure the safety and well-being of the students• Assists students with their studies, supervises students outside for break and supervises students while waitingfor buses and on field trips• Performs various administrative duties, such as copying papers, changing bulletin boards, sorting papers, andpreparing folders and homework• Assists in recording grades in grade book and computer, runs 3 and 6 weeks grade reports and reviews reportcards to ensure that grades are recorded correctly• Takes attendance, pulls cards, sharpens pencils and gets all art work ready weekly• Constructs games for reading and math, makes items for bulletin boards, has them laminated and mounts onboards• Files all books shelves• Types purchase orders for books and supplies that are needed• Serves as a positive role model and example for students• Assists in all activities of student life• Performs related duties as required
MENTAL DEMANDS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS:Tools/Equipment Used: Personal computer and peripherals; standard instructional equipmentPosture: Prolonged standing; frequent kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twistingMotion: Frequent walkingLifting: Regular light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)Environment: Work is located in a classroom environment; regular exposure to noise
