Certified Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Responsibilities:
Receive, review and accurately process prescription prior authorization requestsConduct outreach calls to obtain necessary clinical criteria forms/progress notesCommunicate drug formulary guidelines, prior authorization criteria and plan benefit design to participants, providers and pharmaciesResolve escalated participant issues and claims issuesUtilize basic Excel functions and track metrics
Certified Prior Authorization Pharmacy Technician Requirements:
Proven experience as a pharmacy technician, specifically in processing prior authorizationCertified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT)Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills preferredPatient, provider and pharmacy customer service experience preferred
