Overview of Graphic Designer

This position is located on our Hammond, IN campus

The Marketing and Communications team is seeking a Graphic Designer. The Graphic Designer is a key team member and brand ambassador responsible for developing the creative design work for the institution's Office of Marketing and Communications. As a creative, driven, innovative and flexible team member, this lead role is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing strategic creative. This position works with numerous departments from across the university with the primary focus of creating compelling content that promotes the PNW brand.

Schedule:8:30 am - 4:30 pmDuties and Responsibilities of Graphic Designer

Design:

Lead the creation of compelling visual design projects that best represent the university brand, messaging and voice, including (but not limited to) advertisements, social media graphics, publications, visual concepts, graphics, and marketing materials for the university and its various departmentsWorks closely with the marketing and communications team members to create work that exemplifies the university brand through attention grabbing visuals that meet the needs of various platformsWork with external vendors on production; research and implement best practice digital and print products for the universityBrand Standardization:

Education of Graphic Designer

Bachelor's Degree required in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Computer Graphics, or related fieldExperience of Graphic Designer

Two years of professional & versatile digital & print design experience requiredHighly qualified candidates will have experience in a marketing or advertising agency, corporate or higher education communications department, or related fieldExperience designing for digital mediums; working with video, animation or motion graphics, preferred
