AME Engineering is currently seeking a BIM Modeler to join our internal design team based in Downers Grove, Illinois. This role will be responsible for modeling complex projects from Entertainment, Agricultural, Industrial, Commercial, to Manufacturing facilities.This is an incredible opportunity to join an established, but fast-growing design/build business and be part of our in-house centralized Engineering design group. We hire the best and the brightest from across the country constructing a team of experts in architecture, design, engineering, project management, and business development.A DAY IN THE LIFE:Model mechanical, plumbing, and process piping systems using RevitCreate and maintain 3D equipment models to show final utility connections and coordinate different subcontractor tradesApply basic knowledge of building codes, industry standards and other criteria in the development of project designsDevelop deliverable drawings for schematic, permit, construction, shop, and fabrication level of detail projectsCreate material takeoff reports to aid in project estimating and procurementCollaborate with design and construction team to optimize design, run Navisworks coordination meetings, and prepare clash detection reportsNECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS:
1-5 years of modeling experience with mechanical, plumbing and/or process systems for industrial and commercial buildingsDegree related to BIM or Construction related design/modelingExperience using RevitExperience producing permit and construction drawingsExperience working on Design/Build projects is a plus
