Project Description:The Understand and Decide team supports our product detail experiences, external content, and user-generated content.

Position Summary/Job Description:

As a contract Sr. Experience Designer in the Digital Shopping Experience - Understanding & Deciding Team, you will work with a highly collaborative team of experience designers, content designers, researchers, strategists, product managers, and engineers to create compelling human-centered experiences focused on helping customers discover and shop for product and services in our mobile app, website, and digital properties. This team is an integral part of the broader Product Experience Design at our company, a team that designs and implements innovative, human, end-to-end experiences for our customers and employees.

The contract Sr. Experience Designer role promotes Human Centered Design, leads in defining and facilitating discovery efforts, is responsible for the communication of design intent, and advocates for continuous improvement of customer experiences.

This role is responsible for:- communicating the design intent to define the experience across one to two product and/or project teams focusing on digital channels with exposure and support to multi-channel experiences- Assists the primary designer in defining the supporting strategy across one to two product and/or project teams to create multi-channel experiences across physical and digital channel touchpoints- Understanding service design, design thinking, and human centered design to meet the evolving needs of the business, the customer, the employee and the brand- Translating business goals and product requirements into a cohesive and consistent experience- Collaboration and relationship building within their assigned product and/or project team(s) through written and verbal communication- The continuous improvement of the customer experiences related to their assigned product and/or project teams

Core Responsibilities:- Evolve and challenge our brand through the thoughtful application of modern visual design best practices.- Work with Experience/UX designers, product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to create solutions and align customer and business needs.- Leverage research, site metrics, and usability findings to make recommendations and drive strategy.- Work to understand the problem space and foster a shared vision of the future.- Participate in a culture of collaboration, feedback, and continuous improvement.- Partner with research, analytics, consumer insights and A/B testing teams on methodology and approach for the testing of XD strategies.

Skills Overview:- At least 2 years working as an embedded product designer alongside product management and engineering.- At least 4 years of experience as an Experience/UX Designer or 6+ yrs in a Design related role.- Advanced knowledge of UX Design principles and deliverables (designs, wireframes, prototypes, etc.).- Advanced skills with tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Miro, etc.

- History demonstrating human-centered design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, usability standards and best practices.

What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?- 2 or more years of experience working in Ecommerce or other multi-channel design environment.- Experience designing for mobile app and mobile web.- Experience designing for Accessibility Standards.- Experience partnering with research and analytics teams- Ability to handle multiple efforts, attention to detail, relationship-building, strong communication skills, and accountability.
