Dow’s business communicators are strategic marketing communications practitioners with deep content and channel expertise who develop and implement communications programs that engage current and potential customers and other relevant stakeholder audiences.About you and this roleYou will lead all communications efforts for the Coatings and Performance Monomers (C&PM) business, including strategic counsel and executive communications support (external and internal) for the Business Vice President and the global business leadership team. You will lead plan development with senior business marketing partners for regional and global market areas and help position and promote Dow products and services in support of business growth strategies and priorities. You will also provide people leadership to C&PM business communications team.Responsibilities+ Provide leadership to C&PM business communications team, managing team’s performance and prioritizing resources to support business growth.+ Support and counsel Business Vice President and other senior business leaders in positioning and communicating business initiatives, issues and thought leadership both externally and internally. Connect business needs and opportunities with other businesses and functions globally or regionally to advance and protect the Dow brand.+ Engage as a contributing member of C&PM global business leadership team, as well as Dow’s Business Communications leadership team.+ Direct business communications strategy, ensuring alignment to plans and priorities, and direct C&PM’s business communications team from priority, workload, coaching, career development and administrative standpoints.+ Lead development and implementation of marketing communications plans that align with business marketing plans and employ audience-appropriate channel mixes. Lead planning process and strategic counsel for regional or global market areas.+ Develop, manage, and deliver content that engages target audiences. This includes message development, writing and storytelling, video production and graphic design instruction. Organize updates, routing, proof reading and production/delivery of projects.+ Have responsibility for business communications budget and resource management/billing, including leading supplier selection, work, and relationships, as well as hiring and people management.+ Support brand management through new product/capability brand development, global trademark management, thought leadership and reputation, and co-branding strategy support.+ Own overall business measurement, feeding findings and recommendations back to communications and marketing planning. Analyze program trends and counsel marketing leaders on best practices, channel selection and other strategic insight.+ Communicate and collaborate regularly with local and global teams to ensure alignment with global marketing and marketing communications priorities and to leverage and share communications materials and best practices. Also collaborate with broader Global Public Affairs function to align and connect dots across corporate, regional and business priorities.Qualifications+ A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking or Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class or Sergeant ranking.+ A minimum of 8 years of relevant working experience.+ A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States.
