Description

SUMMARY Seeking a hardworking, results driven collaborator for the position of Director of Marketing and Communications at The Family Place. This position will report to the Chief Development Officer and will advance the vision of the organization, driving internal and external brand positioning, marketing strategy, and public relations efforts. The individual will provide strategic oversight in the following key areas:Developing key messaging to drive growth across various programs in both brand awareness and revenue.Expanding the organization's visibility as a leader in domestic violence intervention and preventionAdvancing key impact messaging to cultivate new and existing donors.

The Director of Marketing is a key member of the Development team leading external communication efforts, including marketing and promotion, newsletters, media relations, and public information alongside key internal communications. The individual will lead a marketing associate, consultants, and seasonal interns and must have the ability to streamline work while looking at continuous process improvements to effectively serve internal and external audiences. The individual will drive world-class marketing strategies with executional excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDrive measurable revenue results for the organization including: revenue generation through online giving and email marketing, newsletters, North Texas Giving Day, other online giving opportunities, and direct mail.Support other areas of The Family Place with marketing needs - ReSale Shop, Volunteers, Client Services Program areas, Donor Stewardship, etc.Achieve measurable increases in following and engagement numbers across social media platforms.Drive visibility of the organization deploying a comprehensive public relations programEffectively communicate The Family Place's brand to all constituents, both internal and external, all tied directly to the organization's mission and vision.Responsible for the conceptual direction of marketing, branding, photography, and internal and external communications including Direct Mail and corresponding email campaigns.Responsible for planning, evaluating, and reporting on goals and long-range marketing strategies.Collaborate with the Development team to drive revenue through retail opportunities, online giving, and fundraising efforts through existing programs like Partners Card, Special Events, Sponsorship and Partner Recognition and in other areas as needed.Effectively work with departments/programs/consultants/agencies to implement communication/marketing plans that align with The Family Place's priorities for optimal effectiveness.Drive visibility of the organization deploying a comprehensive public relations programResponsible for responding to media inquiries as it relates to public information about The Family Place.Maintain a positive relationship with representatives of both traditional and nontraditional media including regular contact and coordinating targeted strategic approaches that drive the organization's priorities.Lead public information processes including requirements, requests, and documentation, related to The Family Place's policy and funding requests. Implement continuous process and performance improvement measuresContinuously identify and evaluate key digital trends to inform marketing strategies based on ROI.Stay current with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in performance marketing to continuously improve campaign and team performance.Identify/refine audience targets, analyze campaign performance, develop insights and assign key performance indicators across campaigns.Identify efficiencies and process improvement measures on an ongoing basis to streamline work volume. Always drive quality and consistency in product, minimizing error and production costs.Develop and administer the organization's marketing budget for maximum effectiveness including short- and long-term budgets for the marketing and public relations efforts.Negotiate and maintain marketing vendor/service contracts, coordinating the request for "3" quotes process as needed.Maintain database and promote The Family Place assets to media and local influencersResponsible for the supervision of assigned employees and maintenance of relationships with agencies and consultants.Support Special Events through email, print, and other marketing vehicles and provide on-site vendor management when needed.Perform all other duties as assigned.Other Duties:

Qualifications

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.At least 5 years of demonstrated successful experience leading marketing and branding efforts, driving improvement measures, and owning a budget.At least 5 years of demonstrated successful experience leading marketing efforts, including both nontraditional and traditional media.Experience driving process improvement measures and owning a budget.Experience in marketing research including web metrics and web content management.Licenses and Certifications:

Valid Texas Drivers License

Strongly self-motivated, with excellent attention to detail.Results Driven expert with knowledge in media relations, social media, impact-driven communications, and marketing, including support with SEO and omnichannel marketing efforts.Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).Knowledge of Blackbaud Raiser's Edge NXT Marketing Application is a plusExcellent verbal, written, and proofreading skills.Hardworking and places high value on collaborating with cross-functional teams.Problem solver with the ability to interpret marketing analytics and data for informed decisions.Ability to work independently and thrive in fast-paced environment.Committed to driving revenue.Supervisory Responsibility This position requires supervision of assigned employees, agencies, and consultants.Mental and Physical Abilities:

Duties are usually performed seated with occasional periods of standing or walking. Some physical effort is required associated with lifting and carrying objects (at least 50 lbs.)

Working Conditions:

Work may be performed, but is not limited to an office environment. Available for weekend and evenings events.
