Position Overview :

As our Technical Marketing Manager, you'll formulate and implement strategies to establish warm-mix asphalt paving, as well as liquid anti-strip use throughout Oregon, Washington, California, & Arizona. You'll identify and drive partnerships with key decision makers & influencers that will ultimately enable Evotherm to become the clear choice in paving technologies. You'll be the lead spokesperson for Ingevity, to help our partners clearly see the value it creates for them and for our environment. We're looking for someone who thinks big and thinks now. With 550 million tons of hot-mix asphalt paving placed annually in the U.S. alone, opportunities are limitless. We are looking for a great communicator, with intuitive strategic thinking, and a prolific track record of building productive partnerships.

How you will impact Ingevity:Create substantial recurring Evotherm & roadway striping business throughout your market.Develop, execute, and manage strategy for warm-mix, liquid anti-strip & road marking adoption.Identify key markets, ideal partners, appropriate product positioning and growth opportunities.Apply the sales cycle successfully across a complex environment by creating superior value for all decision makers and influencers.Take complete ownership for creating and sustaining the momentum crucially needed to drive the change towards warm-mix asphalt.Strategically manage existing business and new business opportunities to meet corporate revenue and margin growth goals.Excite and motivate road owners (various agency and multi-level DOT personnel) through superior communication skills in presenting and positioning Evotherm value.Anticipate and effectively manage questions, concerns and objections related to WMA.Lead the supporting efforts of lobbyists, public relations, government, regulatory, and research institutions to drive change faster.Achieve specification adoption across the territory and establish Evotherm as the preferred paving technology.Master all aspects (properties, design, testing, construction, performance) of Evotherm's performance compared to hot-mix asphalt paving across commonly employed mix types (Superpave, SMA, dense & open graded)Create relationships built on trust with all key partners through frequent face-to-face interactions (various agencies, liquid asphalt suppliers, contractors, road owners).Direct and coordinate the support resources needed to successfully organize and execute demonstrations and paving projects.Become the communication nucleus for key customers, partners and the Charleston support team.Provide hands-on support during construction when needed.Apply your quality and technical expertise to lead and support Evotherm construction projects at the hot mix plant and at the job site.Perform under pressure to troubleshoot & solve problems that may occur during mix construction and lay down. This requires excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to think quickly on your feet.Manage the installation and integration of Evotherm pumps and tanks at customer facilities.Have a complete understanding of the telemetry tank and pump systems.This is a remote position within the defined territory.What you need to succeed:

Bachelor's degree preferred5+ years of industry experience requiredPreference for candidate that is based in Oregon, Washington, California, or ArizonaPreference for strong technical expertise around pavement design & construction as well as active participation in the paving industryStrong asphalt materials, asphalt plant and asphalt construction background is preferred.Ability to troubleshoot paving operations and mix design issues preferred.Ability to build strong relationships across governmental agencies and contractors.Genuine curiosity and questioning with an intent for problem solving50%+ travel is required
