To learn how to apply for a faculty or staff position using the Career worklet, please review this tip sheet (t.miami.edu/wda/erpsec/tipsheets/ER\_eRecruiting\_ApplyforaJob.pdf) .The Director, Athletics Communications is responsible for overseeing communications and content efforts for select University of Miami NCAA Division I teams and strategically promoting those programs in concert with the communications, digital, design and video departments to elevate the Miami Hurricanes brand across all communications channels.JOB FUNCTIONSServe as the primary communications contact for the women’s basketball program and select Olympic sports, with an emphasis on strategy and content planning for various social media platforms and MiamiHurricanes.com. Responsibilities also include serving as liaison to local and national media, writing and distributing press releases, overseeing press operations at home events, editing publications, submitting award nominations, managing all information on MiamiHurricanes.com, historical archiving and creating and publishing content. Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, Atlantic Coast Conference, institutional and departmental rules. Establishes and continuously assesses the effectiveness of the internal controls within the unit and compliance with university policies and procedures.
