DMG distributes music both physically and digitally, and licenses music throughout the world in various forms of media including television, print, gaming, and consumer products!Job SummaryThe role of Sr Manager, Marketing Playlists for the Disney Music Group will be part of the Disney Branded Animation and Special Projects marketing team which is responsible for music product releases across multiple divisions of the company including Disney Animation Studios, Pixar, Disney Junior, Disney Television Animation, Muppets, Disney on Broadway, Disney Parks, and Disney animated franchises. In addition, the team oversees marketing responsibilities for Disney Concerts, Disney Hits SXM, and Playlist marketing.

The position will be responsible for the following key functions:

management of campaigns to promote and market our key branded music playlists attached to all our DSP partners (Spotify, Apple, Amazon, YouTube Music, Pandora, etc.).ResponsibilitiesDevelop and establish marketing strategies for our key playlists.

Conceptualize, create, and develop tools, assets, and creative campaigns to promote and market our key branded playlists (e.g. Disney Hits, Disney Lullaby, Disney Sleep, Disney Princess, Disney Peaceful Piano, etc.).

Maintain strong knowledge of digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing.

Playlist Curation: work with Sales & Digital and International teams to curate engaging and targeted playlists that resonate with different audience segments.

Stay alert on the latest social media platforms for promotion and engagement, including targeted advertising.

Creative Thinking: Innovative and creative approach to marketing, with the ability to design and implement unique promotional campaigns.

Project Management: Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Effectively collaborate with other departments, partners, and stakeholders (Internal at TWDC and external).

Monitor and stay up to date with music trends, consumer preferences, and technological advancements in the music streaming industry.

Consistently manage our branded playlists across all promotional materials and platforms.

Collaborate/manage outside agencies and production companies in the development of visual creative/storytelling assets.

Effectively and responsibly manage budgets attached to marketing, advertising, promotion, and partnership efforts.

Work closely with our research team to gather and use customer insights to inform marketing strategies and playlist curation.

Required Qualifications:At least 6 years of experience of relevant marketing, advertising, promotion attached to the entertainment/Brand management business (Film, TV, Music, Brands, Etc.) and/or relevant marketing degree.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Exceptional work ethic demonstrating flexibility and a professional and collaborative approach at all times.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for creating compelling content and interacting with audiences.

Knowledge of Streaming Platforms: Familiarity with DSPs and social platforms: Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon

Strong interest and knowledge of the digital and social landscape -- IG, TikTok, YT, etc., and how to leverage them for marketing purposes.

Ability to manage multiple projects at any given time.

Highly organized and detail oriented

Intermediate knowledge of presentation and creative software applications (Keynote, PowerPoint, Photoshop, etc.)

Position is hybrid, with minimum 4 days a week in our Burbank office.The hiring range for this position in location is $102,000 - $136,000 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
