Job Title: Communication Project Manager

Purpose Statement:

The Communication Project Manager contributes to the mission of College Park Church by facilitating, supporting, and collaborating with others through partnership on communication project management, volunteer and contractor communication, content development, design, and print production. This is a highly-collaborative role that mobilizes the Communication Team to support the breadth of CPC ministries in an effective, creative and strategic way.

Responsibilities:

The Communication Project Manager serves on the Communication Team in the following ways:

Partnership & Project Management

From initiation to completion of each project, this role will oversee the project management system to help ensure individuals and the team meet our previously agreed-to timelines with ministry partners. This includes but is not limited to assisting in setting the initial scope of projects large and small so that all parties understand the dependencies, inserting all tasks so each person knows their contribution, adding milestones so team knows the goal before us, and other necessary items as the project progresses.This person will manage, with other team members, all project and task initiations through our Project Starter Form.Because of their view of both the church and ministries master calendar and what that will mean in regards to capacity, this individual will be able to bring any risks/concerns regarding project tasks and timing to light so that we are set up to meet our goals and timelines.Represent the Communication Team to project and execute the needs of ministry teams with excellence, care and creativity. Responsible for scheduling bi-monthly meetings with ministry partners to both assess current projects and determine upcoming needs.Coordinate bi-monthly meetings with necessary ministry partners for the purpose of ensuring we are clear on current projects as well as upcoming.Work with Communication Director on coordination of team offsite meetings.

Volunteer, Vendor and Contractor Communication

Work with Communication Team and Ministry Partners to determine photography, videography, and design projects that need to be outsourced.Gather the necessary information needed from ministry partner and Communication Team members.Communicate said information, building in automations as possible, to all parties as needed until the project is complete.Schedule a quarterly gathering for photography volunteers and contractors to meet up, connect, give feedback and build deeper relationships with one another and our team.Own communication with print vendors to both execute what is needed currently and build in ways to expand our knowledge of the print industry to help contribute to other possibilities for print that aren't on our radar.

Content, Design, and Print Production

Engage in each piece of a project to ensure the outcome is in agreement with the project scope and plan per the initial communication.Create, proof, and edit content as needed in partnership with other team members.Work with Communication Team to build checklists into our process giving greater assurance to the final piece is what was intendedManage the timing, installation and/or delivery to a ministry of all print items

Participate on the Communication Creative Design Team weekly to both contribute to the creative process and direction of projects and ensure that all pieces of the project are clear, accurate, and up to date in the project management system.Assist in both print and digital campus signage on a weekly basis. This includes but is not limited to ensuring that all signage needs related to Sunday are installed/put out; and working with teams to ensure partners have all they need related to a Sunday where their ministry will be highlighted; and other ministry-related signage needs.Manage our internal process documents to ensure they are up to date and usable for both Communication Team and ministry partners if needed.Manage communication process for volunteers (photographers, graphic designers, and others as needed). This includes but is not limited to being the liaison between contractors, vendors, and ministry partners from initiation to completion of photography and video projects.Occasionally produce in-house print deliverables.Candidate Profile:

Bachelors or masters degree preferred with at least five years' experience in graphic design, writing, and copy editingAt least 5 years' professional experience with project managementMinistry experience in a church or parachurch organization through a staff or volunteer roleDirect experience implementing communication or marketing strategies and plansNecessary Skills & Abilities:

This is a full-time, exempt role totaling approximately 40+ hours weekly, Monday-Friday. Flexibility for working remotely one or sometimes two days per week, depending on team needs.

Attendance at staff meetings and other staff functions required.
