The Cook II/Expeditor is required to organize and set up expo line and condiment station ensuring all condiments are fresh and at the correct temperature at all times.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS•Ensure sanitation standards are met at all times, including the use of gloves.•Ensure the expo printer is on and working properly.•Meet with the chef on duty to discuss daily specials and changes; ensure servers are informed of any updates.•Inspect all orders before they leave the kitchen; garnish food as needed.•Place food orders on trays ready for delivery to customers and maintain a clean line.•Advise the chef on duty of any issues and communicate with servers and culinary staff.•Maintain control of the expo line at all times, including monitoring food temperature, ensuring proper portion sizes, and meeting ticket time standards.•Prepare all food items according to standard recipes or as specified on guest checks to ensure consistency.•Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and procedures related to food and beverage, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.•Responsible for maintaining and setting up food production and ensuring quality control for all meat, fish, poultry, sauces, stocks, seasonings, and other food items prepared at various kitchen stations.•Perform other duties as assigned

Cook II/Expeditor Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent qualificationA minimum of 2 to 3 year experience in a similar roleIn-depth knowledge of restaurant best practices and cooking methods

Excellent communication and organizational skillsFood Handlers Certification requiredExcellent communication and organizational skillsAptitude for multi-taskingMust be able to work cooperatively and efficiently in a team
