Apparel Designer

This designer will be responsible for designing categories for the Real Essentials brand and/or it's licensed subsidiaries. This person must be collaborative and receptive to feedback to sure the success of the product line.ResponsibilitiesWill be responsible for the design and development of ready-to-wear categories including activewear, loungewear, dresses and other apparel categoriesCreate original and innovative designs that are aligned with the brand guidelines and personality of the brandConduct market research to identify emerging trends and determine white space in our assortment regarding style, fabric and silhouetteCollaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and must be comfortable managing several projects at onceQualifications5+ years' experience in Apparel DesignBachelor's degree in design or related field or relevant work experienceSelf-starter, team player, strong follow up skills, and sense of urgency. Must be deadline oriented.Strong knowledge fabric, fitting, grading, construction, and technologies relevant to performance apparel is necessary.Strong understanding of design, development, and merchandising process from inception through production.Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other relevant toolsAbout Real Essentials;Real Essentials started in 2018 as an ecommerce apparel company and evolved into one of the top third party apparel sellers on Amazon.
