Writer/ Content Strategist

The Edelman Content Lab ideates and develops high-engagement social, digital and thought leadership content, grounded in journalism and creativity, designed to drive action, move audiences and make an impact.

Who Are You?

You have 2-4 years' experience in content strategy and writing. You love to find creative ways to tell stories, have an impact, move fast, collaborate with peers and clients and have fun while doing it. You often direct by doing- you show more than tell. And you love to learn and experiment with new formats, technologies and platforms.

ResponsibilitiesIdeating content across platforms and writing social copy across formats.Presenting ideas internally and externally as needed.Creating content calendars in association with account and strategy teams.Writing leadership thought pieces and company blog posts on LinkedIn and other various social media platforms.Schedule content using industry standard social media tools.Writing creative briefs for internal and external stakeholders.Advise clients on content types and formats.Basic Qualifications

2-4 years of relevant experience in marketing and communications, including influence/conversion copywriting and content strategy.Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Writing, or a related discipline.A portfolio of work must be included with the resume for consideration.Preferred Qualifications

Experience as a Content Strategist, Content Marketer, or in a similar role.Experience writing short-form social content, some mid-form executive communications, and occasionally more mid- form content such as blog posts.Knowledge of content marketing principles and strategies, understanding client KPIs and how to translate them into creative solutions across channels and platforms.Understanding of the principles of content marketing such as SEO, SEM, paid media, programmatic media, performance marketing, lead gen and organic social media, and experience making recommendations that encompass one or multiple approaches.Understanding of or interest in healthcare communications. And proven experience in direct-to-consumer communication.Experience with or interest in learning how to work with Canva.Awareness of the techniques to boost activation, engagement, and outcomes.Experience working in Agile environments with a focus on test and learnExperience in basic data analysis and monitoring content performance.Innovative thinker with the ability to generate creative ideas.Knowledgeable about content calendar creation, content style guidelines, and content management.Current knowledge of digital industry trends and emerging technologies in content marketing.

$56,000 - $84,000 a year

An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, travel requirements, revenue-based metrics, any contractual agreements, and business or organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of DJEH's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, a Paid Time Off policy, and region-specific benefits.
