About Community Bible Study:

Community Bible Study (CBS) is an interdenominational Bible study for the community. We offer a wide range of courses in classes around the world, with over 1.1 million participants in 110 countries, 88 languages (and counting!), and 73,000 dedicated volunteers. CBS fosters a welcoming environment for people from all backgrounds and levels of Bible knowledge. Position Description:

The Director of Communications and Marketing is a leadership role that drives strategy, builds brand identity, and produces high-quality content to communicate CBS's mission. Working closely with global leadership and external partners, the Director ensures consistent communication of the CBS identity across print, video, and digital media. This role also involves building and managing a team of specialists to engage multicultural audiences, positively impacting brand promotion, media engagement, social media, and content creation. The Director will also evaluate the effectiveness of communication strategies and foster collaboration with like-minded ministries.

Responsibilities:

Strategy & Vision:

Develop and execute a multi-year communications plan aligned with CBS's mission and secured resources.Analyze user experiences to understand volunteer and field needs.Champion brand integrity throughout the organization.Manage communication budgets and resources with scalability in mind.Integrate with CBS calendar, processes, and systems to maximize efficiency.Collaborate with other teams to streamline production and deliver timely resources.Content Creation & Storytelling:

Lead the development of design concepts, presentations, artwork, and layout for visual media.Lead content creation for websites and social media, ensuring relevance to the mission and audience engagement.Develop and manage a successful marketing strategy.Manage all advertising and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) initiatives.Curate and repurpose a variety of communications materials across all formats.Team Leadership & Support:

Develop and nurture strategic vendor relationships.Build and lead an internal team, volunteer teams, and utilize external vendors as needed to enhance capabilities.Foster an environment of collaboration and excellence within the communications team.Communication & Project Management:

Ensure clear and effective communication throughout the organization.Prepare critical communications for press releases and crisis management situations.Be a highly focused project manager, collaboratively setting and meeting expectations and deadlines for projects.Demonstrate strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.Qualifications, Skills, and Qualities:

Synthesize key messages from various inputs.Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.Knowledge of design theory and multi-media production.Proficiency in storytelling across various media.Develop and draft compelling communication materials for donors.Working with a diverse audience in multiple cultures and languages is a plus.Project Management:

Focused project manager who can collaboratively set and meet product expectations and deadlines.Ability to develop, track, and implement communications strategies.Capable of understanding the overall vision while also managing intricate details, with strong execution skills and the ability to multitask and oversee projects across various technologies and resources concurrently.Self-starter with the ability to work independently and multi-task.Technical Skills, Training & Experience:

Bachelor's degree in a related field.Nonprofit experience preferred but not required.5+ years of marketing experience with demonstrably successful results.Experience with CBS or a similar ministry (strongly preferred).Proficiency in various software programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant social media platforms.Experience with online marketing campaigns and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms.Other:

Reports to CEOWork Location: CBS Ministry Service Center, Colorado Springs, ColoradoPeriodic overnight travel inside the United StatesOccasional travel outside the United States may be requiredMust reside and work in the U.S.Must have a valid passportStarting Salary Range:

Salary range: $95,000 - $105,000Benefits Offered:
