As a member of the Sun Day Red product team, the Designer will design products for the SDR apparel range in collaboration with the design and development teams to bring to market worldwide, that is consistent with brand strategy and meets the specific performance, pricing, and aesthetic goals of the brand. This role will work with Marketing to understand the consumer needs, and create a segmentation and range plan that will support the brand strategy. Candidate will be expected to present a portfolio of work that shows the ability to execute complex projects at a high level from start to finish, is able to integrate conceptual thinking into their work, and is able to communicate a clear strategy to complete a large amount of work under tight deadlines.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

Execute on all aspects of the apparel and accessory creating process. Inspiration > Creation > Tech > BOM> CommentExecute, build, and maintain Cut and Sew Tech Packs across multiple categoriesCollaborate with Senior Designer/Director on seasonal fabrics, yarns, and color direction, working with product development on research and development of qualitiesContribute to overall design intent and art direction for the seasonal rangesWork with product team to ensure regional alignment across categories, while capitalizing on key market trends to identify new / brand right opportunities.Design and create yardage prints, graphics and art for the SDR men's apparel and accessory linesMaintain in-depth knowledge of market, trends, innovation, competition, and productLiaise closely with sales, buying and production teams on an ongoing basis to ensure items suit the customer, market and price pointsManage time and action calendar for assigned categories to meet all deadlinesVisit trade shows and manufacturers to source, select and buy fabrics, trims, fastenings and embellishmentsPerform other related duties and assignments as required.Education, Work Experience and Professional Certifications:

Bachelor's Degree in commercial art / graphic design / industrial design5+ years of experience as an apparel designerStrong portfolio of high-level produced workExperience in Golf industry strongly preferredKnowledge and Skills Requirements:

Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and presentations skillsAbility to create and implement brand right / consumer relevant prints, color stories and apparelAbility to identify key marketplace trends and opportunities that are consistent with brand values and design aestheticKnowledge of product development process / calendar / timelinesTeam player with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teamsMust be able to multitask and work in fast paced environmentProactive with a solution / results mindsetAbility to meet deadlines with strong follow through skillsMust be highly organized and detailed orientedWorking knowledge of corporate software including PowerPoint, Word, OutlookMust be knowledgeable in Illustrator, Photoshop, and familiarity w/ PLMWork Environment / Physical Requirements:

Normal office conditionsAbility to work extended hours as necessary to communicate with global vendors and meet deadlinesOccasional domestic and international travel requiredLight physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials

TaylorMade is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including position scope, job related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. The expected annual base pay range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000. Additional benefits, such as health & wellness, performance bonuses, product discounts, holidays, paid time off, etc. may also be offered in accordance with our plans.
