Responsibilities Registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdues and reserves. Assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials. Basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials. Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories. Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications **This announcement is announced as Best Qualified. Minimum Qualifications: One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade Or Two years of education above high school Or A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements. Best Qualifications: -At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) of planning, implementing, and executing events and programming for adults, teens, and/or children -At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) registering patrons, charging/discharging materials, and/or assisting with interlibrary loans -At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) in basic/copy cataloguing -At least three (3) months experience (paid or unpaid) in a library that provided specific knowledge of library rules, policies, and procedures for circulation, technical service, and/or events Education Please note that this announcement allows for education in lieu of experience. PCS Costs Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest. Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
