Job Description

Education/Experience Requirement:• Bachelor's degree, preferably in marketing• 2 years' experience in community outreach, program planning, marketing, and/or event planning

Skills Required:• Customer Service• Program Management• Strategic Planning• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite• Proficiency in Adobe Suite• Demonstrated ability to curate content for social platforms• Ability to travel throughout the State of Rhode Island (sometimes with limited notice)• Ability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings when needed• Must be able to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities:• Manage preparation, coordination, and logistics of agency Director's events• Attend and provide on-site support at Director's events• Maintain up-to-date, internally visible event calendar• Booking/coordinating Director's calendar• Development and execution of social media plan• Creation of content for various social media and other marketing platforms• Capturing photos and videos for use on websites and social media content, as well as maintain database of photos and videos for marketing and promotional use• Develop print and electronic publications including brochures, flyers, announcements, invitations, bulletins, newsletters, and handbooks• Fosters external outreach and partnerships with other state agencies and community providers• Other projects as directed by manager
