TEACHER: CLASSROOM

Overall ResponsibilitiesProvide instruction using principles of human development andappropriate learning strategies to enable students to make academic,vocational, and/or personal growth.

Specific Responsibilities1. Provide instruction in grade/subject assigned.2. Prepare materials needed to assist students.3. Implement policies, procedures, and mandates as required.4. Prepare and submit requested reports and plans in an accurateand timely manner.5. Participate in professional development.6. Participate in school, District, and department activities and meetings.7. Work with other staff including administration, counseling,clerical, and other teachers.8. Provide instruction and compliance activities in accordance withstate and federal law, District policies and procedures, andsite needs.9. Work with parents and community members to provide for theinstructional needs of individuals in the assigned class.10. Foster positive relationships between students, staff, and community members.11. Supervise students to assure their safety.12. Monitor student achievement and adjust instructions inresponse to student data.13. Other related duties as assigned.
