COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:Hourly wages scale from $12.9458 - 17.8612 (additional $0.80 per hour for those who have an Associates Degree or have completed 60+ college credit hours - official transcripts required)Standard benefits according to the Current Bargaining Agreement with Saginaw Township Educational Office Personnel.The STEOP Current Bargaining Agreement ends on June 30, 2024. The parties are in the process of negotions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Meet No Child Left Behind criteria for support personnel, which includes graduation from an accredited high school or the equivalent, and either 60 or more semester hours of college credit or passing Work Keys testSkilled in keyboarding (typing).Skilled in the use of computers/word processorsSkilled in the use of data bases preferred.Ability to assume responsibility.Good attendance record.Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.Ability to prioritize and carry out office tasks efficiently.Experience in working with students.Experience and knowledge of multi-media learning tools preferred.Ability to work and communicate effectively with all staff members.Ability to prioritize and manage task efficiently.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Operate the library media center with procedures and policies that further the goals of the school and the district.Assist students and teachers in locating and using library media resources such as library books, periodicals, audiovisual, computerized information databases, computer based learning programs and related media/technology equipment.Maintain accurate inventory, maintenance, and acquisition records for all library media center resources.Maintain files for correspondence, catalogs and records.Assists in selection and preparation of purchase orders for library media center resources.Process, repair and replace all library media center resources for circulation.Apply established circulation and storage procedures to all library media materials and equipment, including retrieval of overdue materials.Maintain bulletin boards and other library displays.Maintain proper student discipline in library.Provides orientation to library to students and staff.Perform clerical duties as assigned by the appropriate media supervisor.Other duties as required for the operation of an efficient school
