Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Marketing Manager is a strategic thought leader responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing plans for IAAPA North America programs, social media channels, products, and services. This role works cross-functionally to drive event attendance, member growth, enhance member value, and maximize engagement within the IAAPA North America region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning:Develop and implement IAAPA North America marketing plans and materials for events, including IAAPA Presents, Meetups, Public Affairs Conference, webinars, and educational programs as needed.Assist in all aspects of attendee marketing for IAAPA Expo, IAAPA Summits, and all other IAAPA events, and membership initiatives as needed.Assist in the development and implementation of new membership engagement programs that cultivate new members and retain current members.Coordinate advertising/marketing trade agreements and ensure equitable contracts between the organizations.Content Creation and Copywriting:

Develop compelling and persuasive copy for various marketing assets, including email marketing, website content, member benefit descriptions, member assets, e-newsletters, speaker abstracts, and promotional materials.Create and manage IAAPA North America event web pages.Ensure all communications adhere to IAAPA’s brand and style standards.Social Media Management:

Continuously evolve, maintain, and manage IAAPA North America social media platforms and strategy (e.g., FB, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube)Create and schedule engaging posts that align with marketing and membership initiatives and campaigns.Actively listen to and interact with followers, building relationships, and address questions or concernsBuild and strategically engage the North America audience driving a positive brand sentiment, and act as a primary point of contact for members and potential advocates.Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Proactively establish and maintain effective working team relationships with all association departments.Build trust, value others, communicate effectively, drive execution, foster innovation, focus on the member/customer, collaborate with others, solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.Liaise with the Global Marketing/Communications team for the promotion of regional efforts and assist with global events, products, and services as needed.Work with various internal teams and third-party vendors to develop and manage marketing campaigns to promote attendance to IAAPA events.Support North America Public Affairs team with advocacy efforts.Market Intelligence/Reporting:

Monitor, review, and report on event marketing activity and results.Measure and analyze the performance of event marketing activities.Identify and explore new marketing vehicles and approaches.Stay apprised of member and buyer research, current market conditions, and competitor information.Create and distribute follow-up surveys for IAAPA North America events and communications.Create post-show event reports summarizing all marketing aspects of the event.Budget Management:

Manage event marketing budgets (services, advertising, print, postage, design, and translation).Qualification, Knowledge, Preferred Skills:

BS/BA degree preferred.Minimum of 5 experience in marketing.Proven track record of success in marketing association programs and/or trade shows, with extensive experience in developing and maintaining marketing strategies to achieve association goals and objectives.Excellent writing, reporting, proofreading, and editing skills, including strong knowledge of AP Style.Proven ability to oversee all marketing, advertising, and promotional vendors, and activities.Exceptional communication and presentation skills both written and verbal.Ability to work productively with a global team of professionals.Proactive in identifying problems and developing creative, efficient solutions.Excellent project management skills with the ability to participate and lead multiple initiatives simultaneously with strict attention to detail and organization.Experience with association database management systems preferred.Excellent computer skills required including, but not limited to: Microsoft Office, HTML, Adestra, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Fonteva, and SharePoint. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Canva and InDesign, a plus.
