We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced individual to join our team as our

Associate Director of Media and Communications.

Responsibilities consists of implementing internal and external, communications strategies and processes. Providing support to the supervisor regarding AGMU communications, advertising and publications process and activities.

AGM University serves a diverse student population, offering bilingual education to the community for traditional and non-traditional students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Responsible for negotiating contracts and services provided by traditional and non-traditional media providers.Plans and manages branding, print and collateral materials, web, new media initiatives, and other marketing efforts for Institution.Write, edit, and revise outward-facing materials for Institution, including presentations, blog posts, announcements, newsletters, fact sheets, and web and social content.Oversee brand standards, logo usage, and print publications to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and college policies, practices, and procedures.Responsible for the content development for the traditional and non-traditional media and the internal and external communications as requested.Manage institutional text messages and the official AGMU account on social networks, including content development, publication, monitoring, and responding to comments and requests from social network followers.Prepare communications in situations that require emergency or crisis management.Provide advice on the communication strategies requested.Identify opportunities to generate new elements.Establish relationships with traditional and non-traditional media.Advise on communication styles, writing internal and external communications, distribution of internal newsletters, institutional image.Establish metrics on the effectiveness of institutional communication efforts.Provide project management that keeps multiple projects and initiatives on budget and schedule, including detailed, complex, and strategic projects that positively contribute to the enrollment and branding objectives.

REQUIREMENTSBachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, or related field from accredited university.Four (4) years of overseeing communications, branding, creative and digital services within an organization, university, or agency related work experience.Knowledge of the principles and strategies of advertising, communications, publications, text writing, event development, sponsorships, and special events.Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize changing needs, and make appropriate decisions, while meeting tight deadlines.Proven track record of strategically deploying communication tools to disseminate messages across different platforms and to diverse audiences.Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.Interpersonal communication skills to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and administrators.Excellent leadership and teamwork skills.Demonstrated ability to think strategically as well as tactically; ability to “think outside of the box."Knowledge and experience in the use and management of technological equipment and applications.Ability to express himself/herself effectively, verbally and in writing, in Spanish and English.
