Through it all, Murphy & Associates has stayed true to its roots, partnering with highly qualified technology and business consultants and working closely with our clients, fairly and ethically.THE CLIENTOur client is a large airline company based in the Greater Seattle Area.TRAINING CONTENT DEVELOPERKey Duties:Develop training products for multiple front-line workgroupsWrite training objectives using competencies and critical behaviorsPerform needs analysis to understand user goals and objectives and identify appropriate content deliverables for assigned projectsWrite and revise content deliverables (e.g., online course materials, job aides, classroom materials) per approved content plans, ensuring content deliverables adhere to established standardsDevelop design specifications, storyboard, and interactionsCoordinate informal and formal reviews with subject matter experts and other applicable team membersProvide peer edits for other developers, editing for content, style, copyediting, and proofreading accuracy. Review for adherence to established standards for mechanics, organization, logic, presentation, completeness, and consistencyRegularly report project status; recognize potential problems and promptly report issues to managerRespond to requests for content updates based on identified defects, product enhancements, root cause analysis findings, etc. to help ensure delivery of high-quality products to our customersResearch new technologies to assist in the teams’ continued improvement of content development processes and standards, recommending changes required to match or surpass e-learning industry standardsEmbody the client Spirit and conduct oneself with Professionalism, Integrity, Resourcefulness and CaringCo-facilitate training kick off meetingsEstablish timelines for project completionMaintain proper documentation and reportsConduct needs analysis and write effective objectivesIndividually or in conjunction with the Instructional Designer, design class or computer-based training initiativesLMS: Upload, test, create and edit course trees, archive courses as needed, create and attach surveys, communicate with LMS admin to ensure adherence to best practicesManage projects including timelines, development of content, scripts, stakeholders, video recording and audioConsult with stakeholders and manage conflictsInform stakeholders and team of project statusEvaluate and assess effectiveness of trainingEnsure design and content meet style guides and graphic standardsPerform regular reviews of content for accuracy and relevanceInvestigate and resolve technical issues and limitationsPromote the department by maintaining relationships and connections with stakeholders and departmentsRemain innovative and current with design methodsUnderstand project risks/challenges and take action to resolveMentor and influence TCD IPerform related duties and responsibilities as assignedIdentify appropriate training methodsAnalyze design and delivery implications; build considerations, training strategies and media selectionResearch, analyze and implement content development projects, including scope and schedule of content deliverablesOther duties as assignedYOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEJob-Specific Experience, Education & Skills:Required:Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business, Communication or related field, or equivalent work experience required.Minimum of two years’ experience in a technical writing, curriculum development or instructional design position.Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel and Publisher requiredAdvanced knowledge of PowerPoint requiredKnowledge of recording and synchronizing audio narrationKnowledge of current training presentation products and emerging technologies for delivery such as social media, Web 2.0 and mobile applicationsMust possess strong interpersonal skills; analytical and have the ability to guide discussion on unfamiliar topicsMust possess excellent written, verbal and presentation skillsMust possess strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to address multiple projects and tasks while adhering to project schedules and deadlines and effectively cope with conflicts caused by competing prioritiesAbility to maintain and adhere to project and individual schedules with minimal supervisionAbility to quickly analyze the impact of development changes on a content development project and adjust workload appropriatelyAbility to act as a consultant regarding Content Development methodology, standards and practicesAbility to create compelling visual designs for training taking into consideration usability and attractivenessAdvanced Storyline: creating simulations, gamification, logic and number variables, scene creation, recording screencasts, JavaScript creation/insertion requiredThorough understanding of training modalities and learning stylesAdvanced image/graphic creation and manipulation requiredMultimedia literacy requiredCan work with little supervision and use initiativePreferred:Instructional best practice preferredPresentation skills preferredSpanish fluency a plusExperience in applying instructional design and modern learning principles in training and e-learning highly preferredSpecific knowledge of authoring tools, such as Articulate Pro Suite and Articulate Storyline preferredKnowledge of Photoshop (Web design a plus) preferredWORK ENVIRONMENTDuration:

Role is ASAP to start, to run for 12 months, with chance to extend.Location:

Role is onsite in SeaTac, WA. Role is mostly onsite, with 1-2 WFH days a week.Daily Schedule:

M-F, 40 hours a week, no OT anticipated.Hardware:
