OverviewThe Web Designer/Developer is responsible for creating visually engaging, functional & effective websites that communicate the organization's message andbrand identity while meeting the clients' needs and objectives.Full-time /In-Person /Exempt /Salary Position under the management of the Owner. 40 hours per week. Weekends required with notice.Roles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop creative concepts and design solutions based on project requirements.Creating visually engaging layouts and user interfaces using design tools such as Adobe XD, sketch or Figma.Translating design mockups into responsive and function web pages using HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.Ensuring websites are optimized for various devices and browsers.Writing clean, efficient code for both front-end and back-end development tasks.Integrating front-end components with server-side logic and databases using languages like PHP, Python, or Node.js.Implementing and customizing content management systems (CMS) as needed.Designing graphic elements, icons, and other visual assets for websites.Ensuring consistency in design aesthetics and branding across all web pages and applications.Conducting usability testing and gathering feedback to enhance user experience.Optimizing websites for speed, performance, and search engine visibility (SEO).Collaborating with designers, developers, and project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.Stay updated on design trends, new technology and best practices to ensure designs are modern and relevant.Maintain and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency across all design elements.Contribute to the development and evolution of the organization's visual identity.Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, content creators, and design team, to understand project objectives and deliver cohesive designs.Incorporate feedback into designs to meet project goals.Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met and deliverables are of the highest quality.Clearly communicate design concepts and ideas to team members and stakeholders.Communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.Present design rationale and decisions effectively.Adapt designs based on feedback and changing project requirements.Work closely with fellow coworkers, including graphic designers, videographers/photographers, and content creators, to execute creative projects effectively.Adhere to copyright laws, licensing agreements, and company policies related to photography and videography.Respond to routine inquiries through calls, email, web forms and in-person from our clients/potential clients regarding their accounts, billing, project schedule, deadlines, etc.Attend all team meetings.Assist with special projects and reports as requested by the Owner.Willingness to train 1-2 coworkers in web design/development, ensuring someone in the office is able to assist in your absence.Follows safety procedures and maintains a safe work environment.Organize work by checking and responding to all communications (ClickUp, in-box, voicemail, email, text, etc.) and completing all required documentation and paperwork(business, personnel, safety, etc.) in accordance with quality standards, practices, and deadlines.Project a professional appearance and a pleasant attitude towards co-workers, supervisors, and clients, and interface effectively and cooperatively with other professionals.Ensure and protect the confidentiality of Droptine Studios information, including that of staff, supervisors, and outside contacts, and all other proprietary information.Qualifications and Education RequirementsHigh school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.Proficient in Squarespace (Preferred).Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks/libraries like React, Angular, or Vue.js.Knowledge of server-side programming languages such as Python, Ruby, PHP, or Node.js.Experience with database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).Understanding of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility.Ability to optimize web pages for maximum speed and scalability.Knowledge of web security best practices.Proven experience as a web developer or similar role, showcasing a portfolio of past projects.Experience with both front-end and back-end development.Ability to work with third-party APIs and web services.Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or Joomla may be beneficial.Understanding of Agile methodologies and experience in Agile development environments.Knowledge and experience with huntingProblem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially when working in a team environment.Strong Leadership skills with potential to build, grow and lead a department.Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and techniques.Creativity and an eye for design to collaborate effectively with designers and UX/UI specialists.Passion for web development and staying updated with industry trends and advancements.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently.Proactive attitude towards improving processes and finding innovative solutions.Strong attention to detail, ensuring high-quality web development and design.Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
