The marketing assistant will provide administrative and operational support for the Market Research Manager and the Web Strategy & Operations Manager. Responsibilities will involve active engagement with essential platforms like Hybris and Qualtrics to assist with maintaining the integrity of marketing content across our websites and operationalizing our various market research initiatives. In addition to managing routine administrative tasks within these key platforms, the assistant will extend valuable support to our Performance Marketers, contributing to the overall success of our marketing endeavors. We value your potential, and we are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where all individuals can thrive and contribute their best .Major responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Troubleshooting and closing tickets pertaining to change requests for our marketing sites; communicate resolution timeline and details across team.Creating, editing, and maintaining of web pages and product pages.Building, testing, and documenting standardized market research programs.Developing a deep understanding of Qualtrics, Hybris, Khoros, and Vault and acting as a point of support for the use of the platforms.Performing data entry for tracking customer engagement.Updating and maintaining the Macmillan Community including auditing and archiving content, categorizing and tagging content, moderating key communities, and managing spam. Includes managing the College Quest student blog on Khoros.Supporting the team with administrative tasks and large department-wide initiatives as required.Assisting performance marketers with dashboard building and reporting on 1st-party data.Supporting product load several times a year by entering marketing content for new titles to our publishing and content management systems.

Required Qualifications:BA or BS in English, Communications, Marketing, Business or other related field.Knowledge of Google for Work (Slides, Sheets, Docs, Drive).Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively across departments and teams.Ability to multitask, prioritize projects and deadlines, and manage a number of ongoing tasks simultaneously.Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.Team oriented with a positive can-do attitude; takes initiative to support new projects/tasks and learn new skills.Comfortable learning new technologies.Keen interest in web maintenance and/or market research.

Preferred Qualifications:Basic HTML knowledge preferred.Knowledge of content management systems and survey tools a plus.Familiarity with project management tools, such as Asana and JIRA, a plus.

$42,000Exemption Status:

Non-ExemptPhysical Requirements:Requires periods of close concentration in a sometimes busy and open office; must be able to multi-task. Must be able to work over 40 hours a week and travel occasionally. Must be able to prioritize projects and deadlines.This is a hybrid role. 1-2 days per week are required in the either our Boston or New York office.
